How To Win In Sales, Moneyball Example

There’s more to say about winning in sales. When you’re competing for a sale, of course it matters if you’re getting better and better everyday but it matters the most when you’re getting better against your competition.

How to win in sales?

Sales world is very hard basically because they don’t pay a commission for getting in the second place, it’s not enough if a customer is happy with you if he doesn’t buy from you.

And the difference between an expert salesperson and a newbie, is not the years in the market, is knowing how to apply the secrets of a good salesperson. Some of them were explained in one of our post: What are the steps to make a sale?.

Sales is not rocket science, as I said, it’s about going back to the basics and do whatever we need to so we can improve and win more sales.

A couple of years ago, I watched a movie, maybe you remember it: Moneyball. If you haven’t watched it I recommend you do, not only if you enjoy baseball you should do this, but I invite you to watch it trying to understand how to make a powerful team (or person) by taking care of your strengths, how to apply it to your sales development using the principle: Back to Basis.

I’m pretty sure if you apply the basis of sales, you’ll start gaining more understanding of the process and you’ll improve your effectiveness.
